Have had a bit of an Australian thing going on in my life this week! In a nice way, of course.
I may have mentioned that at the moment I am doing a course in Dublin. So I leave here on a Monday morning and stay in Dublin til Friday evening, but more about that later.
This week while I was staying in Dublin, I managed to catch up with my friend, Valerie, who was home on a brief holiday from Melbourne. We were joined by another friend, Mary for dinner. The three of us had a great evening and meal at Ciao Restaurant in Malahide – the lamb was absolutely divine!
The wonderful thing about meeting up with Valerie is that although she lives in Melbourne, and only gets home once a year, our conversations literally just pick up where we left off! Gosh, what a laugh the three of us had.
Thank you Valerie for a great evening and thank you to Sarah for coming to pick me up on a totally miserable wet evening!
I came home from Dublin early this week, travelling down on Thursday night. We had Stephanie, Farmer Alfie’s daughter, and her boyfriend, Jason, here staying from Australia! See what I mean about a bit of an Oz thing going on!
Stephanie and Jason had been here since Monday, but I only got to spend one night with them. It was wonderful to see them both. It had been such a long time since their last visit.
Jason works in tv, so as part of his trip around Ireland on this holiday, he decided to make a ‘murder/mystery’ programme. I gather this programme is very impromptu and features people as Jason travels about! Some of the neighbours had great fun participating…. Stephanie is playing the lead-role of the main detective! So looking forward to seeing the final cut!
