So here’s the first one I ever put into the famous notebook… and I still use … and still enjoy this!
Ingredients:
- Shredded Cabbage
- 2 streaky rashers (or you can use the bacon bits from Lidl/Aldi)
- 1 glove garlic (crushed)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
Fry up the rasher and onion in olive oil for a few minutes. Add in garlic and cook for another few minutes. Stir in the cabbage (it will collapse as it cooks). Stir now and then. Season carefully…. I usually just add pepper as the bacon will be salty enough. The cabbage should cook in about 10 minutes.
I love this with beef! I think cabbage and beef work really well together.
