Most certainly is a moorhen given the yellow / red beak and if you got a glimpse at his/her legs their green. A coot on the other hand is all black with a white beak and is larger than it’s cousin the moorhen.

I thought I’d get closer to take a better photo, but he suddenly spotted me and flew away! Will keep trying to get closer…. just love watching them.
