Remember we had summer a couple of weeks back????
Well back then there was a lot of talk about home-made ice-cream, ice-cream makers, etc.
I don’t have an ice-cream maker. And I hate all that putting the ice-cream into the freezer, taking it out and whisking it every so often…. just way too much work.
So here’s the easiest ice-cream recipe in the whole wide world…
It is a recipe I posted a couple of years back but thought I should share it again as it is so so yummy!
The recipe originally came from my brother, Seamus, but it has been revamped a bit!!!
Recipe:
- 4 eggs separated
- 4 oz caster sugar
- 250 ml cream
- few drops of vanilla essence
Whip egg whites and sugar.
Whip egg yolks and flavouring
Whip cream.
Fold egg yolks, then cream into egg whites.
Stick in freezer for a couple of hours…… no taking it out and whisking again!
That’s it!
Enjoy!
And I will share the cookie recipe too in the next few days!!!
Oh my Forget the icecream where did you get the gorgeous cup and saucer?
Ena we got a gift of the set a few years back…. love the pretty colours in it!
Love it! Love any recipe for using eggs – especially a sweet one!
Laura you’ll love this recipe and it is so easy!
Thank you for that. Must try it out on teens. Love the photo too!
Thank you! It is such a quick and simple dish… the teens could make it themselves 🙂
Don`t know why I didn`t think of that!
Delighted to offer some inspiration for school holidays! 🙂 Keep them occupied 🙂
Must try that Margaret as like you don’t own an icecream machine and the in and out of the freezer drives me mad too! Thanks for sharing
Have to make more for this weekend…. it all disappears in one sitting!

And it is so so very easy! Are you back home?
Yes 🙂 I couldn’t find the right sugar today so it will have to wait until I get back to Vermont in 10 days time. 🙂
