How did your local parade go?
Lorrha may have a small population but what it lacks in size it makes up for in enthusiasm for the St. Patrick’s Day parade! Today’s parade had 25 floats of all sorts of shapes and sizes.

The parade was led through the village by ‘St. Patrick’.

The local amateur dramatics group did steal the limelight of the day with their interpretation of ‘Tiger on Tour’! Farmer Alfie commented that he is getting quite worried about the men in the village and the penchant for dressing up as women…. and you should see them teetering about in those heels!

The ‘Tiger on Tour’ guys one the trophy today, but the local Redwood School as usual did a great interpretation of current events with their float of ‘Willie O’Dea’s Little Army’!

As you can see lots of fun had by all. Celebrations still ongoing…. I’m off to a play in Ardcroney tonight… more later!
